COLUMBUS, Ohio – Empower Battery Technology executives recently met with Mr. James R. Mismash, the Director of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), during his visit to Columbus on January 14. The meeting, hosted by the Ohio APEX Accelerator, provided a strategic platform to discuss the role of domestic innovation in strengthening the national defense industrial base.

During the event, Empower’s leadership team, including CEO Natalie Cohen and CTO Nicholas Bashian, presented the company’s breakthrough Glass Anode™ technology. The discussion highlighted how Empower’s U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities align with the DoD’s mission to secure critical supply chains and deploy high-performance energy storage solutions for warfighters.
